Title: CCA Broadcast TX question
Post by: W4RFM on December 19, 2015, 01:41:05 PM
Anyone out there have any experience with a CCA 2500D TX?  I know the 1000D very well, but have been offered parts from a 2500D.  Just wondering what they used - 4-400's, 3-500's - ceramic?

CCA used to be in Gloucester city NJ a long time ago, and I used to dumpster dive there, got some meters still I think.
I think they moved to Cherry Hill, then went belly up?

Hi Bob,

The CCA AM 2500Ds were not very common.

Am certain that they were a pair of 4-1000s X PP 4-1000s (glass tubes).

Patrick posted some Peter Dahl Catalogs here:

I like the CCAs very much good Iron,  and  nice RF layout,  although am not a real expert in them.

Good Luck,    73   Vic

That was a rare license allocation via the FCC, henceforth, the number of transmitters was limited.

Very healthy iron for a ham!.

Go for it

This one was running at 1 KW when it went out of service. Going to pick it clean after New Years.
Glad to hear the good things you folks have mentioned, thanks.
