The issues were generated when the group was still part of a radio club in the Hartford area. Probably if you Google ARRL or QST history, that info might be buried in there.
They've come a long way and stumbled a number of times over the years but always managed to right themselves and continued on for amateur radio and the amateur radio community. Many of us probably have at least one piss and moan about what they did or didn't do or generated some other totally crazy idea, proposal, or whatever that leaves amateurs scratching their head in wonder (there's an acronym for that) but, overall, I'm glad they have been here to help keep the fun in amateur radio. QST has been the ARRL members journal as part of membership and as such, has to try and cover as many facets of amateur radio as it can. Today's amateur radio technological world is a lot more varied then it was 50 or 100 years ago. QEX is just a paid for technical specific publication and really has nothing to do with membership perks. Title: Re: Ask help and answer I do.
