Title: Pretty Cool Score...
Post by: N8ETQ on November 14, 2015, 10:45:49 AM

A friend of mine procured a few of
these via an auction.

More consistent test results for both the
unit under test and my stable of antique test gear!

Those are perfect. The only thing better is possibly a GE Inductrol (no power-carrying moving contacts), if you can find one.

     Thanks Patrick,

This thing seems to do the same. The Variac is
unique in that he has a "Center Tap" and just controls
buck/boost to one side of the XFMR.  All the load "I" is
going through the other side.  Here is a functional
schematic.

The Manual is here:

I just have to find a place under my bench for him and
get it all plumbed in.
