Title: Two stations in AM: pe1mph Post by: pe1mph on October 17, 2015, 10:59:09 AM Hello AM Lovers,
My wife and I were back home from shopping. In our livingroom we drinking coffee and eating something... I listen there and heard a station calling cq on 21.430 in AM! Then I 'running' to my studio and tuning the antenna 1:1. But did I hear it correct..... I could not believe! I heard N1EU Barry calling, with slow fading!!! His signal between S2 to S8 and no problem to hear him. Later I worked W2IQK Carl on the same freq. 21.430 in AM His signal, with heavy fading, between S1 to S7. Evenso I could receive both stations weak with my Indoor Loopant. I used my old Yeasu FT 910 with gives only 10 Watts. The antenne: dipole 2x +/- 25 meters wire hanging n - s and +/- 11 meters high. Thanks for the fine qso in AM. Henk, pe1mph Dokkum, The Netherlands Title: Re: Two stations in AM: pe1mph Post by: n1eu on October 21, 2015, 10:18:13 AM Thanks for the QSO Hank! Band was in great shape but no other European AM'ers were active.

Last days I heard on 21.430 sometimes AM, but very weak... The same today and I am 100% sure I heard on 21.430 a station. Time around 17.30 hour by me (= 15.30 UCT) (http://time.unitarium.com/utc/) I heard only sometimes a word, no more.... Greetings, Henk, pe1mph Dokkum, The Netherlands Title: Re: Two stations in AM: pe1mph Post by: pe1mph on October 23, 2015, 12:25:24 PM Hello AM Lovers, AMfone - Dedicated to Amplitude Modulation on the Amateur Radio Bands
Last Sunday I worked Michel VE2XK on 21.420 in AM. His signal were between S3 - S7 with less fading. On his site I saw his huge antenna! This afternoon I heard Michel again in our livingroom. But his signal were weak to fair. It were not necessary for me to walk to my studio... Greetings, Henk, PE1MPH Dokkum, The Netherlands |
