Title: HEIL ON LATE NIGHT 20 AM
Post by: ve6cq on August 08, 2015, 12:35:55 AM
I had the pleasure of working Bob on our nightly late night
20 meter session. He was using the HT37/30L1 combo with a promise
to join us more regularly. Yes, he was using a PR31 microphone!

We've been gathering most evenings near 10pm/EST on or about 14.330 plus or minus.

Benefits are, NO QRM, STRONG signals, and LOTS of elbow room which adds up to  huge S/N. There is also a "surprise-factor" due to propagation coverage to ALL of North America, which keeps it interesting and faster paced.

We've been meeting VERY regularly since the early spring, and will likely continue until the band goes dark, typically mid fall.

Midnight oil burners, or those with toothpicks very welcome!
