Post by: Detroit47 on July 10, 2015, 10:55:20 PM
I picked up a B&W Turrret input today at a swap. It is marked BEL on the back does anybody have any specs on it?

Thanks John N8QPC

Here is a sheet that provides a little information on power and voltage rating, as well as catalog numbers for the various bands.

John,

I also found the attached sheet in my files - I do not know if it applies to your turret or not, but I thought I would give it to you.  It is not a great copy, but the best that I have.

I found some more information on B&W plugin coils in a 1939 Radio Parts Handbook from Payette Ltd. Montreal QC.
Interesting pre-WWII Depression era prices. My grandfather made $8 a week back then.

Type HDL, HDVL, TL, TVL, and BL coils that would be mounted on that BEL, (type B end link coil), turret assembly. Specs for inductance, capacitance to resonate the coil on the low end of each band, wire size, and diameter.
