Bill - You did a "sanitary" installation; and have heard you a few times with your new mobile. It puts out a respectable signal!

The best of luck with it.

Wow, Bill, you vely smalt man!

I wonder how well you can hear now - any vehicle generated noise at all?

Otherwise, with normal noise sources along the road, you will need to use the mobile  "Clearing House" in New Jersey like the rest of us - when the going gets ruff.

Yes there's still some noise around s5 not bad, the dsp noise filter in the 706 does a pretty good job of getting rid of it.

When the Wx gets better I'll start working on some filters. I have a small hand held AM radio that I can poke and prod around for noise sources, I work on it a bit at a time cause pulling the truck apart is a pretty big job to do.

yep sad but true mister Vu, I guess we've all been down that road before.

Anyway now that I've got the screwdriver controller debugged, properly installed and working it makes moving around the band a lot easier.

I've got spring break comming up in a few weeks, I've gone through the schematics of the 706 and identified some audio bottlenecks, I'm going to start working on the audio then and probably attempt to get rid of the fuel pump noize then...

See you at marlboro OM.
