Title: 3660 & 3885 khz AM
Post by: pe1mph on May 03, 2015, 04:56:37 PM
Hello AM Lovers,

This Sundaymorning I had a nice qso with F6AQK on 3660 khz in AM.
His signal were just after 06.00 hour by me max. S9+15 and he has a nice audio!

While I had one receiver standing on 3660 khz, I listen with another to 3885 khz.
Were I heard a man talking and talking and talking... hi, hi...
I am not 100% sure about his call, it sounding like WA4WAH???
Listen to the recording if you want, made when conditions were going down...

First I thought: it is Tim WA1HLR, but I am not sure....
Hi, hi.. he is evenso a longtalker...
Oh by the way the signal on 3885 were max. S8!
Evenso Jean F6AQK could hear him.

I told Jean, on 3660, we must hanging up flyers in the USA & UK.
To tell them, AM lovers, we are now on 3660 khz early mornings.
Mostly in the weekend transmitting, but during the week I (and Jean) listen to 3660....

So if you want, tell all AM-Lovers:
To transmit or listen to 3660 khz and maybe they can qso with us (Europe). :D
Thats we want to tell you... hi, hi...

Thanks for telling this to your AM friends,

Jean
Henk

That was probably WA4WAM who consistently has a nice signal up this way.

Thanks Dave!
Yes I made the recording around 06.20 hours.
But earlier he (WA4WAM) did have a big signal by me.
Only him we (Jean and me) could hear...

Greetings,

Henk
