Title: D104 to 30's Spring Mounted Mic
Post by: WO4K on March 22, 2015, 11:27:55 AM
Beginning the process of converting a D-104 into a retro-looking ring spring-mount to be suspended from a boom. Got the idea from one of the guys on this forum, but cannot find the thread or photo of that conversion. Can you please re-post photo?

That's the D-104 mic head in the photo. The ring from which it will be suspended hasn't been fabricated yet.

OK, it is hard to get the scale in the photo.

I made a pretty good ring from a sawn piece of 6" pipe.

I thought it was Don-K4KYV who had the vintage D-104 with the spring suspension.  I do remember the photo of it but then again, it may have been from someone else.
