Title: 3885 khz AM recordings: 1 mrt
Post by: pe1mph on March 01, 2015, 04:12:58 AM
Hello AM Lovers,

This morning (+/- 06.20 - 06.45) I heard AM from the USA on 3885 khz.
I made some recordings, but like mostly...
Difficult to copy name/call correctly.
I think someone can help me by listening to the recordings. ;D

Evenso I made a recording from 3710 khz.
Our AM freq. during the morning, but a terrible noise/sound on that freq.!

Greetings,

Henk, pe1mph

Hello Henk I heard you and you're friend Jean F6AQK around 3.710 MHz. It was a little after mid night eastern standard time, that I made contact with Jean his signal was S9 but he had a lot of QRN and had trouble hearing me but at least we managed to have a short QSO. It was my first overseas contact on 40 mtrs AM.
Tell Jean I will keep in touch via e-mail. God Bless.

Steve,
Sorry I was not on air, I listen in our livingroom that morning.
A pity last weeks a big noise-carrier on 3710 khz (our AM freq. early mornings).
Mostly during the weekend Jean (F6AQK) and Fortunato (9H1ES) are there qrv.
I heard this noise again.... and stayed in our livingroom.
Listen to 3885 khz and record some AM stations.

I got an email from Ken W2DTC with this info:
1 ST 3885: STEVE WA1QIX
2 ND 3885: GRANT W4BVT

Those two stations I could hear, others were to weak to copy.

And I got an email from Jean (F6AQK):
This Morning on 3707 around 06:15 local W3OKC call me. Limit QSA 32....!

Hi, hi... when you were in qso I listen to 3885 khz.
Wise Jean used 3707 khz early mornings.
Freq. is free between 3703 ssb stations and noise-station on 3710 khz.

Mostly between 06.15 - +/- 06.35 I monitoring +/- 3707 and 3885 khz.
When I hear AM stations talking I made mostly a recording.
