Title: TechRad Transmitters Post by: Lou W9LRS on January 08, 2015, 01:18:40 PM Hello all
I have been trying to find some info on Tech Rad Transmitters. I know they were made for the Navy, but I can't seem to find any web sites on a Google search. I Know Ozono Bob had one of their transmitters. Any Ideas? Thanks Lou Title: Re: TechRad Transmitters Post by: Jim, W5JO on January 08, 2015, 05:26:01 PM Contact K5LYN. He had one for several years and has knowledge of the subject.

I had one of their transmitters w/matching supply, manual, and cabling for years. Ended up trading it to a friend. All I could ever track down was that this particular model was used in naval shore gun installations around forts, harbors, and such. Pretty obscure in itself.

(Pair of 813's modulated by a pair of 805's; 2-20Mhz; circa 1945) I couldn't find it until I realized the brand name fully. What a beautiful transmitter! |
