Title: docx Extention Post by: W6TOM on January 06, 2015, 06:35:46 PM Tried to post a word document, the board will not accept a word file with a .docx extension which what the current version of word gives a file.

Then click Save As; Then under File Name, either rename the file or use the same name as shown; Then Field Save As Type, Click the drop-down arrow; Click Word 97-2003 Document Click SAVE File will be saved with a .doc extension. Note that .doc files can be read by the latest versions of Word. However, .docx files cannot be read by Word software that is looking for .doc extensions. I always save my Word files just in .doc (Save As Type - Word 97-2003 Document). This way it can be read by current and past versions of Word.
