Title: Collins 32V1 multimeter face / modulator resting current setting
Post by: w1vtp on December 23, 2014, 09:33:50 AM
I looked everywhere for  good image of the Collins multimeter face for the 32V1.  Having found none, I wrestled the beastie around and took this picture.

My question is this: What is the resting current for the modulators in the 32V1?  I've located the pot for making the adjustment. Another question: which  scale should I be using?

Thanks in advance, Al

Al,

The top scale (250 full scale) is the money shot..

Happy holidays!

The manual says that the modulator resting plate current should be 55 mils when the plate voltage switch is in the 700V position in transmit with no modulation.

Thanks guys.  Hope the pic of the multimeter face helps folks especially with sight problems.  I think I was actually developing a little distortion with the previous setting.

Hope to run into you guys on 40 some time
