About 1 minute into this 4 minute video NASA switches over to a downward facing camera on the body of the spacecraft, and you eventually see the earth come into view!  Awesome!

Very cool - onward to Mars.

BTW, look closely ------   at  1:38 we begin to see the JJ self-supporting tower to the Northeast.

" Very cool - onward to Mars. "

Just about ~40 years too late. I checked out the time line.... about 16 more years before 'they' try a Mars launch. 66 years between kitty Hawk and old Neil walking on the Moon.  Around 60 years between Neil and someone walking on Mars??

distance to moon = 238,900 miles

distance to mars  = 33,000,000 to 63,000,00 miles (depending on date)
