Title: KE7TRP effortlessly rolling into Connecticut 11-17-2014 Post by: W1AEX on November 17, 2014, 03:08:25 PM Clark and I chatted for around 30 minutes on 21.430 with signals running at around S-9 today at 1930z. The band was quite good with big signals evident on the panadapter down in the lower regions of the SSB section. During the video at the link below you can see and hear Clark's Ranger driving one of his Johnson Thunderbolts as it was heard today in Connecticut. You can also see an interesting little parasitic from someone's amplifier as it rolled up and down through Clark's signal now and then. The screenshot below catches it at about 21.445 just as it was about to slide down through Clark's signal. The wandering parasitic phenomenon is something that I see frequently on the upper bands.

Great audio from his Flex 6300. Me, just a Icom 7200 barefoot to a A-99 vertical. Band started fading at about 2005z. Was testing to see if this A-99 would load on 15m, which it does and also 17m, but not on 20m. Course okay on 10m, which has seen some good activity for the past week or more.
