Title: NEAR-Fest XVII - FREEFESTER!!!! Post by: W1RC on October 23, 2014, 05:40:30 AM We just enjoyed NEAR-Fest XVI which represents our eighth year as hamfest hosts. It has been decided that the next one, NEAR-Fest XVII scheduled for May 1st and 2nd 2014 will be free. That's right, admission will be free of charge. This is to thank all the loyal attendees who have been coming faithfully since May 2007.
Those wishing to park inside the fairgrounds will still be required to purchase a $10.00 inside parking pass and camping/tenting fees will still be in effect. This will also be the case for commercial vendors whose rates will remain in force. There will be the usual great door prizes and the parking passes will include a stub for hat purpose. So if you are willing to park outside the gate and walk in you may do so totally free of any charge.
