So, I need someone from western PA or Northern KY who is going to Nearfest who would be willing to pony Frank's R390 to their home where I will arrange a pickup if Carl's, yet un-named, pony express rider will agree to also carry it from John's to the fester. We're stuck with the pony express approach until they come up with a Heavy Lift Vehicle!
And probably 90% of the time I'd be able to haul both items to Deerfield either myself or with Steve & Johnny. This time they're not going and although I am, it's a family trip with a small vehicle already over full. Hauling an amp, BC-348R, and Racal cover along with stuff for my parents and all the stuff for WunderBaby & Jen. If you think women require a lot of luggage, try traveling with a 22 month old! Forgot that I also have to haul back some pipe and shipping straps from a job earlier this summer and Jen is bringing along something for one of her former teachers from her mom. The teacher married a guy from VT and moved to Randolph, of all places. A little earlier and maybe I could've sold the house a lot sooner!
I consider myself pretty good at loading and packing a vehicle, be it a truck or Ford Escape, but this trip is really going to test my skills and patience.
