Seriously, I spent my summers at my grandfather's a few miles from here, and it's a quiet place with decent schools, but not much work around and brutal winters. I recall walking onto the roof of my grandparents' house from a 1-1/2 story high snowbank during the winter of 1965. My guess is this is the case for Joppa MD. Other translations for Joppa are Jaffa, Yafa, and Yafo. This is an ancient port on the Mediterranean coast of Israel next to Tel Aviv.
