Post by: pe1mph on March 01, 2014, 11:46:21 AM
Hello AM Lovers,
This afternoon my wife and I came after shopping at home, we drinking coffee.
Evenso I listen to 29620 (FM repeater) in our livingroom, I saw a big signale!
So I walked to my studio and first I heard PA3FKR calling in AM.
We both listen to K1KW Chuck to see how strong he was: S9 +15!
Ofcourse we were calling him, but... a pity for us.... he didn't heard us!
Chuck were evenso talking to a PD0?? station, from where??
We could hear some words from that station.... comming from ??
When Chuck did cq, we all were calling him!
Evenso PA3HDM, PD4VOS and we both (PA3FKR and me) calling to him.
I made a little recording, see below if you want...

Later (17.10 hours by me) I worked K1GUP Jerry on 29000 Khz in AM.
Jerry had a good signal, sometimes my S-meter goes up to: S9 +10!
I made a recording from him, see below if you want...
After my qso with him, the conditions were going back: S3.
A pity PA3HDM, couldn't work him.... maybe another day!

But never before I heard AM so high on Ten!
I heard AM on 291000 and 29110 khz, but weak to fair signals.

Now 17.40 by me I heard only a station on 29080 in AM from the USA.
Signal from his is around S3, I listen good.... if it is K0???...
I hear him tuning to exactly 29080 khz... hi, hi...

Oh by the way: I used again only 8 Watts from the old Yeasu FT 901 DM.

Jerry thanks for the nice talk on Ten,

Pffff...

Thats far away!!! :)

But I were happy to work K1GUP!
Because many stations were calling him on 29000 khz in AM.
It is on Ten always a 'surprice' with who I can work....
