Title: W2VW and GW8TBG as heard at my QTH in SE PA. Post by: aa3re on December 10, 2013, 08:38:40 PM I thought you folks might like to hear this. Recorded from my QTH Schwenksville PA.
More 10 meter AM fun. I had my run of QSO's with stations all over Europe and found Mervin, GW8TBG and David, W2VW in QSO with David in good clear backscatter. He is about 75 air miles north east of me. Receiver is a Hallicrafters R-274D (SX-73). Mosley TA 33 antenna. de AA3RE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ne_8Zx3i8ak&feature=c4-overview&list=UUEYmRSauAU-vuXhAl2pnsWA (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ne_8Zx3i8ak&feature=c4-overview&list=UUEYmRSauAU-vuXhAl2pnsWA) Title: Re: W2VW and GW8TBG as heard at my QTH in SE PA. When talking about New Jersey from here it could be anywhere from near north, full around east and to the south. The point was he was 75 miles from me.de AA3RE Title: Re: W2VW and GW8TBG as heard at my QTH in SE PA. Post by: W2VW on December 11, 2013, 04:57:17 AM Thanks for posting Peter! There have been times I've heard you while aimed at Europe. I understand you were running about 20 watts then. I suppose the northeast thing could have actually came from the heading my signal was peaked on. Title: Re: W2VW and GW8TBG as heard at my QTH in SE PA. David , you always sound good when I hear you, so I thought I would document the experience for others. SFI looks good again today for more 10 meter AM. Having a blast with my Multi Elmac AF 67 @ 18-20 watts carrier. |
