He could have gained the tacit but unspoken approval of the AMers by simply doing his broadcast on 3895 or 3860, thereby utilizing spectrum not normally used by AMers. This might have been perceived as guarding the edges and even expanding the AM window. The level of ingenuity displayed is truly remarkable.
