Title: SS Regen Circuit
Post by: N0WVA on October 18, 2013, 12:12:49 AM
If you like regens and have been less than satisfied with solid state versions, then try this design and I think you will find it will blow any other design away.

Note for SSB and CW, use a 3pf tank to gate capacitor. This will almost eliminate any frequency pulling on SSB and CW.

Because the source is directly grounded, there is no RC audio oscillator action, and recovered audio is much stronger.

If you use a low loss pill bottle for a coil form, only one turn is needed for a tickler. (real fine wire).

I added one stage of audio ( 2n4401 with a 1k to 8ohm xformer) and have great headphone volume.
