Title: Viking II shunts SH1, SH2?
Post by: W6MQI on August 11, 2013, 11:23:30 PM
Okay dumb question are these the shunt resistors SH1, and SH2. Can't seem to find them except for on X22 pins 4, 5, 6 there are two black wires that are bent in a U shape extending out from X22 then bent back 180 degs toward X22.  See picture

That's them.. a measured length of "Ni-chrome" wire.
The portion of "Solder free" wire should be the as specified
in the assembly manual.  Mouser has "real" resistors
you could use.  Make sure all meter connections are
clean and tight.
