Title: Optimum Turn-To-Turn Spacing for a Flat Wire Coil Post by: aa5wg on May 08, 2013, 08:12:08 AM Hi to all,
I read the optimum turn-to-turn spacing for a coil is about the diameter of the wire. What about flat wire that is wound broadside to the coil form? Thank you, Chuck Title: Re: Optimum Turn-To-Turn Spacing for a Flat Wire Coil Post by: KM1H on May 08, 2013, 10:29:37 AM The spacing should be no less than half the diameter, wider is better. Length to coil diameter is also important. Look at the B&W tanks plus various QRO amps using flat strap for 6-10-15M.

Also asking the same question on several forums at the same time doesnt help. Carl Title: Re: Optimum Turn-To-Turn Spacing for a Flat Wire Coil Post by: aa5wg on May 09, 2013, 07:49:26 PM Carl, AMfone - Dedicated to Amplitude Modulation on the Amateur Radio Bands
I agree about double post. I must have been clicking the mouse to fast. Chuck |
