Title: Wire (pronounced "WAR" rhymes with "car") Post by: ka4koe on May 03, 2013, 07:50:39 AM Anyone ever used 600V rated THHN/THWN stranded, No. 12 AWG for anode wiring for a 6146? The anode wiring on my transmitter looks pretty ratty.

Also, I would go with solid over stranded.

For a 6146 all you need is #20-22 stranded for strength and some flexibility, none of the better manufacturers use the cheaper solid wire which easily breaks when disturbed often. The connections to the plates is just the leads of the 2W resistors, but, you can also see the resistors are fed by the 26 Ga wire off the plate choke.
