Title: Worked: Chuck, FJJ !
Post by: WA3VJB on April 29, 2013, 08:05:41 AM
Yay, Chuck W3FJJ is BACK on the air from his new place at Newark, Delaware.

Worked him Sunday evening on 3706Kc.

Apparently he was initially up on 40 meters with a dipole, I haven't heard him there, but he's using a Matchbox to load to 80 meters, and I was very glad to get caught up. A little bit of local electrical noise at the time, as heard in this recording he made of Ed, KA3PTX and myself.

Chuck's station layout for now is a piece of lumber on sawhorses, with the correct amount of mid-span sag, but hey, with a 635A into the FT1000D he sounded good with plenty of signal.

Welcome back!

Yes, its great to hear Chuck back on the air.  I have only worked him on 40M up to this point.  I know he was planning on getting something up for 80.

Very nice Paul! I will certainly keep an ear out for the FJJ signal!
