Just to save time with some of the emails:

1. Picked this up about 25 years ago when I was thinking about getting a General and getting on the air, but life got too busy and I didn't have an old school bus to live in, so I never joined the 24/7 rag chew AM gang. Last time I fired it up into a dummy load was about ten years ago, so it should definitely be de-dusted and ramped up on a variac the first time.

2. Electronically in "factory" condition except for reversible TimTron (I think) audio mod... seem to recall it just widened up the audio on the mod deck, no hacking. Well known mod from Electric Radio, think I have the paperwork. Also, I seem to recall the front panel series filament voltage adj pot was worn out on the "low" end, so I wired it backwards... in other words it works in reverse.

3. I replaced the original, screaming, Pratt & Whitney JT8D TurboFan blowers with a pair of quiet, industrial fans... a squirrel cage for the PA chimney and high volume, low pressure for the cabinet... much, much quieter and far better cooling than original.

4. When I got it, it of course was missing the original unobtainium vacuum T/R relay and instead had a pair of totally inadequate BNC relays mounted to the roof on a cluge bracket. I was planning to cram a couple vacuum relays into the original housing and among other things have the ability to switch in a tuning dummy load (a dismembered 100w termaline... I have the meter to go with it) I mounted on the RH roof, but didn't get around to it. As currently configured you would need an external TR, but nothing has really been hacked so if you find an original you will be able to install it.

5. Have the tuning chart, photocopy of manual, four or five 4-125's, a 4-400 broadcast pull, at least one good 866 rectifier. Also have an ME-165 to go with it if wanted.
