Would like to work the station. Title: Re: AWA QSO PARTY Post by: WA3VJB on February 10, 2013, 08:37:10 AM There's a big group on 3870 at 8:30 eastern time. AMfone - Dedicated to Amplitude Modulation on the Amateur Radio Bands
Not much congestion off to the sides, either, maybe float there. Sorry I missed you. I hung out with this group (sound file below) until daytime conditions really set in, and I resorted to using a globaltuners.com remote receive site further up the coast to keep hearing the stations, most of whom were under 100 watts. I guess having a little more power enabled me to still be heard there while they were GONE as I tried to receive them. Had the pleasure of a virtual QSO with Chuck, W3FJJ, who was listening to the same node as myself. There's a chat box on there and we had running commentary alongside the QSO on the air. Late Sunday afternoon, I worked W1HRX the James Millen flagship call for the AWA event on 7283 or so. Nice pileup the op drew before the international BC trash filled the passband of his BC348Q. He had plenty of signal from the ART13, I'll say that. |
