Title: DISTRIBUTING AUDIO Post by: KB5MD on February 05, 2013, 12:46:06 PM I use several different transmitters at various times and switch the audio from the audio chain to each individual transmitter. The big drawback
to doing this is that each transmitter has different audio drive requirements. Is anyone using a distribution system of sorts to adjust the audio to each transmitter in advance rather than having to adjust each time you change transmitters? I am thinking of an audio feed with some type of attenuators for adjusting to each transmitter requirement. Sort of a mixer in reverse. Any thoughts on this? One input to six outputs with individual gain control.

I use a Behringer MX-882 Splitter/Mixer devoted just for this. It's cheap and works like a hose for this application. Mine is about 9 years old with no issues.
