My family and I are in the middle of a major move from VT where we've been since 1996 to Marblehead MA.  Looking forward to the last load of stuff.

Warmest seasons greetings to all from Cynthia VE2KW, Yettive K1YTV and Michael, W1RC

Stevereno, I really enjoyed it.  Also Pete's boasted chicken.  Great graphics.

While taking  midnight care of wifey last night, heard a ton of fire works in the distance, saw the tops of some big ones over the hills.  Local guys set off some smaller ones hear and definitely heard a sem-auto being unloaded to the tune of expensive ammo.

Looks like fire works on New Years is becoming just as popular as on the Fourth.

Happy 2013 y'all.  Welcome to another sci. Fi. date.  Hard to believe....

Lots of fireworks in my neighborhood, many more firecrackers and what sounded like a few rifle reports! I almost broke out the 270 Remington.

Yeah, I broke out my old "1911" pistola (strictly a home protection device)
and unloaded  a clip of year-old rounds into the back yard...

My neighborhood actually was very sedate this year.  Normally lots of
semi-auto reports here but not this AM... Wonder why?

My choice of fireworks all Rugers. Rifle = 44 mag, one each Ruger single action = 41 mag, 22 mag.  Happy New Year

Almost a necro at this point but also thought about unloading a shotgun or rifle or two from the arsenal after looking at Steve's rifle but then thought a second time.  Even though I live in a rural area, where would the bullet land if shot in air and if shot in ground in the dark, still not a good idea.

I suppose the LC Smith double barrel unloaded in the bank in front of the woods behind house would have been safe enough but you never know.   I can just see the local rag's headlines next day.  "naked jake nabbed by cops with deadly personal assault weapon." 8)

A belated Happy New Year to all.

If I tried shootin' off any of my guns, in my urban environment, I'd have the  SWAT team visiting me in no time.    :(

A large PA speaker driven by a suitable amp and a recording of Ma Deuce rattling on for 15 seconds or so from a 1960s 33 1/3 vinyl sound effects recording. Brings the neighbors out in droves.

Good page of samples here though nowhere near as long or good sounding as the old vinyl.

Be ready for next year without the concerns of being politically correct or getting shunned by your yuppy neighbors. Touch off the .45 for icing. There's always evil worms that need killin'. Birds can't get all of 'em.  ;D
