The Greater Cincinnati Amateur Radio Association's weekly net on 1936KHz at 9PM every Thursday will be hosting its Annual AM Night on Thursday December 27th.

AM stations running every vintage of AM equipment from retired broadcast rigs, classic boat anchor rigs and the latest software defined radios are invited to join the activity on 1936KHz on the Thursday following Christmas.

Net Control station NM4A at Union, Ky. will host the activity which formally begins at 9PM ET.

Pre net activities will begin as early as 6 PM ET. All stations checking in early will be logged in via Net Logger. You can monitor the activity by going to www.netlogger.org and down loading the program and then looking for the GCARA AM Night log.

Certificates will be issued to all stations checking in as well as to stations in various classes of equipment.

This activity has usually attracts 70 + AM stations from all over the US operating a wide variety of heavy metal rigs as well as the latest in AM technology. All station operators are invited to join in on this annual gathering. Each operator will be asked to describe his or her station.
