Title: Stripped threads on Johnson chassis
Post by: W9BHI on November 19, 2012, 02:41:56 PM
I just received a new toy today.
It's a rivet nut installation tool.
I just replaced all of the stripped out 10-24 screw holes on the back of my Ranger II.
I also replaced the stripped out 6-32 self tapping screws on my SB-220 top shield cover.
They tool is on EBay for $32.00.
It does many sizes of pop rivets and also 6-32, 8-32, 10-24 and 1/4-20 rivet nuts.
The party that sells the tool also sells the inserts.
I thought this tool might be something useful to others on the board.
