Title: Amertran K 287
Post by: W8ACR on July 15, 2012, 01:27:29 PM
This looks like a 15-20 watt audio transformer to me. I'm hoping that it is a universal driver rather than a PP plate to voice coil. Can anybody tell me what I have here. I tried looking it up , but to no avail.

Thanks, Ron

Use your Dvm to isolate the windings.  Use a 6.3 vac fil xformer to answer your question. Oh and if the winding wire coming out to the solder terminals is visible, then a much larger guage of one compared to the other is a dead giveaway.  Tons of literature on this board to help you.  I Hope someone actually has a catalog to help you.  Looks pretty beefy.
