Title: WTD: 500 W Amp info 1948 Handbook Post by: Carl WA1KPD on July 09, 2012, 10:23:09 PM Saw an 813 amp on EBay recently which references schematics that look like ARRL work, The seller also referred to it as a 1948 amp. Nothing comes up in a QST search and you can see a chapter heading so sure looks like a Handbook article.
It is titled "A 500 Watt Beam Tube Amplifier" I don't have that year in my collection and would like to get a copy of the article, or buy a Handbook if it is in there. Thanks and 73 Carl /KPD Title: Re: WTD: 500 W Amp info 1948 Handbook Post by: ae7db on July 09, 2012, 11:59:19 PM I think that looks like the amplifier from QST of February 1947, p.23 If you have access to the QST archives you might check to see.
