Title: 04-22-12 Band hopping
Post by: K5MIL on April 23, 2012, 12:02:59 AM
Lots of activity tonight upper end of 40. Good strong AM signals. Had nice QSO with KA1BWO in ID, got a good report on the Knight T-60 at 50 watts. Brings back memories of the days running my DX-60. What fun then and now.

Hi Bill, sorry I missed you -- probably later in the evening you were on ? Not seeing a time frame.

Funny that your subject line should say "band hopping," because earlier Sunday evening on 7282Kc there was a noise that sounded like a frequency hopping signal.

It was somewhat like the sound of dripping water against the fixed carrier frequency of the stations I was in QSO with. We all heard it too.

Lots of activity nonetheless, with additional QSOs on 7288 and 7295 from about 1830 GMT through 0130 GMT when I signed.
