Hi Carl ; Weekends are about it for that time frame here. I know John kx5jt in Louisiana is possibly still up after work. Find a frequency and let us know...  lane

I'll be moving to day shift probably in a month or two (maybe sooner).  WOW!! I'm going to be "normal" and see daylight sometimes!!

How has 40 meters been during daylight hours?  Used to be good for the next state or two away but not much further.

John KX5JT

P.S. Ed, I see you're in Mississippi, I bet we could make a few QSO's during daylight!  I'm south of Lafayette, LA.

Hi John ; Well FB on the promotion to the first shift world! It may take some adjustment to the 'ol sleep pattern though.
Daytime on 40 has been good enough to have fun with. Most folks I hear are <350 miles away. Get on board and give it a whirl..lane

Be glad to try some QSO's   I have a total of 2 AM contacts and It's a shame with all of the BA I own.  You don't happen to know of a town called Mamou do you?

Ah yes good ole' Mamou, Louisiana.  That's a VERY CAJUN town with a famous dance hall that features a lot of cajun and zydeco music.  I'm more of a rock and roll guy but some of that swamp rock is pretty good stuff.  Mamou is about 50 miles north of my home QTH.

Yep, I have made a resolution to try to get on the air more this year, last year I wasn't so much as I would like.

Hope to work you all soon!

Really like to hear that music myself. Fun to watch it being played as well. Very much like Polka, it was made for a good time too.
