After years of restoring antique radios and some of the conditions in which I receive them. We are talking barn radios complete with mouse build homes inside. I did fine a product that does a fairly good job at cleaning up the chassis. I use a product called Super Clean.

Where would I find this "Super Clean?"

I have used the purple stuff on engine parts, have to be cautious though as it is some what caustic. Available at many auto parts stores.

Google is your friend.   ;D  A search for Super Clean shows it for sale on Amazon.com and tons of other places.

I use it all the time in my shop, it is great, never thought about it for chassie cleaning . Word of warning it will take paint off to . I get mine at Walmart 8.50 for a Gal.

There seems to be 4 different (or maybe the same stuff in 4 different bottles  :)); which one are you using?

Looks like good stuff to have on hand. Any experiences with how or if it takes those blotches of crud and corrosion off old chassis? The pics at top look great, but the radio appears to be a 50s-60s model that was only dusty/dirty.

I cleaned up a 1928 philco with it and the owner was amazed. What I also do is bake the radio or keep it warm for a week to evaporate any moisture.
