Yes, I'm hearing him at 10-over now, only 80 watts!

I think I spoke with him on 40 slopbucket a few days ago.

band is closed now in EUR, but I heard a bunch of guys including K1KW talking to PW Fallon.  Chuck was 20 over and PW was, well, PW.

30 minute QSO with Dave G3UUR in Eastern UK at 1400. Southern stations pinning meter on R390. There must be 15 QSO's going on in the AM window.

TX Heathkit Marauder HX 10 in AM mode for 20 Watts out into vertical rectangular loop.

Utah and California blasting in at 1500. Fresno just gave me a 58. Getting the Linear tuned up now. I have an old tabletop GSB-201 with 4 811A's and with a little matchbox between it and the Marauder with 20W out, looks like I can do 150W carrier, no problem. I put am extra muffin fan on top for the 811's.

I hear quite a few stations on 29.0. This morning M5AFD from England was quite strong on 29.0. Tried calling him but didn't make it. I'm using a converted 11 meter Johnson Messenger One at 8 watts to a G5RV up 30 feet. It's a challenge and the fun meter is pegged full scale.

Had a pleasant surprise around 9AM this morning. Just casually monitoring around 29.00 (actually 29.002) and UR5QGC (Ukraine) came barreling in. Easy to work him with 100 watts; he was also running 100 watts.

This morning I had 24 European contacts between 10:15AM and roughly 11:30AM on 29.02. Then rolled the antenna towards the West and worked a few U.S. stations.

Yep, no regrets with this antenna. 33 years in the air and still perks along.

Band great this morning. 18 different countries, out of 33 contacts, worked on AM with 100 watts but only 4 very running traditional boatanchor rigs.
