I am in need of a 'professional' spectrum analyzer covering near-zero Hz to at least 100MHz, preferably 1G or better. The big deal is the low end, and most seem to stop at a few MHz, although one stops at 9KHz. That is not low enough for this work. We will look at signals as low as 3KHz, and want to see what is a little below as well. Does anyone know of such an instrument that can be bought from a commercial dealer? PC based/USB, etc. is acceptable has to be calibrated in dBv, dBm, and frequency must be able to distinguish between signals less than 100Hz apart or better. has to be "portable", so 20 lbs is OK, 40 is pushing it.
