If you find it on RJ then call them and they will transfer over to the Tedss site and you can buy with a CC.  Has all sorts of out of production stuff including caps, ceramic switches and the like.  For the home brewer it can be a treasure trove.  The purchased all the AB carbon comp reistors when AB discontinued them.

As usual, points of view abound.

I feel comfortable around gear older than I (! :o).

Absolutely no interest in anything newer, I beat on it too much for a living.

I seem to be fixated on pre-war RX's and that vintage of home-brew TX. 

Since none of that has been produced for a long time, it behooves me to find, buy, & hoard all I can for future enjoyment & operation of such things.

It also is my point of view that keeping old gear restored & running & out of recycling crucibles is easier on the environment than the overall load put upon resources from raw materials to hamshack for new gear.

I seriously doubt the impact of building a good RX in the '30's came close to that of an SDR with all the necessary accouterments shipped via air from foreign countries.

All menu-driven gear uses a bunch of electrons in terms of power as well, no bargain there.
