Just on there 7.220. Nobody home! I was listening to the BBC on 7.310 broadcasting from Beijing,China. I was checking their frequency and suddenly, they went off the air. Radio Bonn Germany was on 7.240 at 1 AM eastern and by 1:15 they were gone. Do people in these foreign countries know when to tune in?

Well anyhow I bellowed out a couple of CQ's and called it a night ;D ;D

Hi Tim, I figured as much about your schedule and when you are on. I have been spreading the word about 7.220 and 7.240 as an alternate. I just spoke with K1RMA on 7.290 and he said he would try to make it some evening. I'll be on there around 11:00 PM tonight so if anyone would like to join in, please do ;D ;D ;D

I will be back on 7.290 at 12:30 AM or in about ten minutes with WA1HLR. Band conditions don't seem too good for under 200 miles right now suggesting that the band is long.

I still vote for 7.130 ish during late evening and post midnights -- That way you know you wont have a blasted broadcast station fire up ontop of your ongoing QSO.

Well go ahead and vote for it but operating down there blows anyone with a General class license from participating. That would be me :'( :'( :'(

That's one reason I will never join any nets that have operated exclusively in the Extra section just because they are extras. Yes before I croak, I'll upgrade. I should have done it this winter. Ok, flame me out >:( >:( >:( >:(

I think he's picking that freq because it's clear, not to exclude anyone.

I'm sure your right Steve. I may have been a knuckle head in my approach but it would be nice when someone suggested something positive to think about how to make it more successful. As much as I sometimes dislike Fearless Fred on the macaroni net, he does take care to put his net in an area intentionally so that people of lower class licenses may participate.

So instead of me hissing & mulling, I should just announce that I'll be operating on 7.220 at a certain time.  My apologizes to all :) :) :) :)

Forget about it. If 7220 is clear, you'll have plenty of action, probably even some Extra class weenies.  ;)
