Title: Barry Mishkind's Broadcasters Desktop Resource
Post by: K5UJ on June 09, 2011, 12:45:20 PM
It has been a few years since I surfed through Barry Mishkind's broadcast email lists, but I did some of that this morning and came across his "Desktop Resource" page where he has some pretty interesting photos of Memphis station tx sites darn near under water in the flood (WDIA and KWAM):

I knew KWAM was built to handle flooding because their site is right across the river from Memphis and everything is way up above ground, but I had wondered if it was all high enough this time around.

Before you get to that however, there's some pretty interesting disaster recovery photos of a South Dakota Clear Channel owneed FM's tower loss due to collapsed earth releasing a guy anchor.

Scroll all the way down for incredible photos of a bent WYTH tower in Georgia after a tornado--it's amazing it stayed up in that shape.
