Title: FS Original KWS-1 Manual Post by: WD8CBO on March 17, 2011, 10:15:48 PM I have an original instruction manual "Instruction Book" for a Collins KWS-1 Amateur Transmitter. It has a handwritten note on the inside cover New Book - Rebuilt Transmitter Serial 229. Has some notes from 1957 and the original registration card.It is in remarkably good shape, intact with a little dogeared on the corners. I found it in a stack of old logs and catalogs given to me by another ham and I believe this unit was owned by a ham in the western suburbs of Minneapolis and was worked on by George XM Collier, a local radio engineer.
