Title: Yeasu down, but not out... Post by: KD6VXI on March 17, 2011, 08:47:31 PM For any that are fans of the Yeasu radios, I just heard that Yeasu Fukushima has shut down.
Needless to say, I'm sure... The plant has been damaged, but Jun says they should be back and operational soon... Nothing was 'devastating'... Except maybe the fact all new Yeasu radios will glow in the dark as a feature??? Good luck to all the people in .ja Truly devastating. Haven't heard about Icom or Kenwood... Kenwood and Icom supposedly are A-OK, as far as personnel and the factories go. Yeasu was 20 km or so from the nuke plant that's having so much problems.
