Title: Typing and bouncing. Software bug?
Post by: KE6DF on March 14, 2011, 01:16:25 PM
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this.

When I type in a post, everything works fine until I reach the bottom of the visible text box.

Then, once the text box starts to scroll down, it keeps bouncing around.

I type a line, and then it scrolls off the screen.

I scroll it back so it's visible, try to place the cursor in the line to fix something, and poof it scroll off the screen again.

I find it difficult to type a long post -- or fix spellng errors of which I make many.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I moved this post to here (Using the BBS)

Now read this thread: http://amfone.net/Amforum/index.php?topic=26654.0

and if you use Firefox, you shouldn't have this problem.

And:
If you're using I.E. and you respond to someone's long post by quoting it, instead of starting your response below the quoted post, start it at the top of the quoted post. I just played with a long quoted post to respond to, and by adding my comments above the quoted message, I was able to get 50 plus typed lines there without any line bounce.

Again using, I.E., if you don't quote any previous message, and just type a message, there should be no bounce for a typical 10, 20, 40, 60, line old buzzard response. I just did one using I.E. and it was 62 lines with no bounce.

And the good folks here patiently replied to use Mozilla Fire Fox.......the anomaly went away.
