Title: Shure 300 Microphone
Post by: W3SLK on February 20, 2011, 12:09:10 PM
I have a very classic Shure 300 microphone I bought out at the BreezeShooters Hamfest years ago. The mic worked well when I used it and I bought it cheap because it had 2 wires hanging from the body. I would like to restore it back to original but I haven't been able to ascertain the type of jack that was used. According to the .pdf file I read at Shure's website, it uses a Cannon XL connector. When I search XL, I get the proverbial XLR which is too big to fit. Looking at some other pictures on the net, shows that it is similar to that of an XLR but about 25-30% smaller. Anyone have a clue as to what type it is and where I may find one?
