The mike input on the Ranger is Hi-Z. The stock Classic, I believe, was low impedance (several hundred ohms). However, when the mike was part of their current line, they also offered a Hi-Z version. Best bet is to drop Bob Heil an e-mail and ask him the question directly. Bob has a bunch of vintage rigs he uses on the air and I bet he uses a Heil mike with them.
