I have used the following firm with considerable success, for making reproduction ID plates for some TMC equipment that I and others have restored:

Aluma Photo Plate
9001 Airport Road
Suite 605
Houston, TX 77061

Contact is Mr. Ken Wickman. His phone is 1-866-579-9096.

Aluma is not cheap, but the quality of the reproductions is absolutely superb. The reproductions are correct in every way with respect to the original, with excellent attention to detail, including font size and style, color of the plate (typically a semi-gloss black, etc.), reproduction accuracy of the equipment manufacturers monogram, outline dimensions of the plate, etc.

They may have a website, but I am not sure.

You will most probably have to borrow an original ID plate from a fellow ham willing to let you submit it to Aluma. They need either artwork of the ID plate you wish to duplicate, which nowadays can be difficult to come by, or an original ID plate that they can photographically reproduce. They will return the original plate when the process is completed, and no damage is done to the plate either.

I hope that this helps.

Bruce

Name plates used on many homebrew and commercial rigs before WW2.  One of the manufacturers was Bud.  There are slight variations amongst manufacturers, as  well as some others of completely different styles.

Once upon a time, I had the spec book for product/label marking (sizes, shapes, fonts, dimensions, etc. ) for Bell System and WECo products. We were very particular and formal with all our product and label markings. I may still have it around here somewhere.

If anyone needs the AM 494 MANUALS, I will scan them. Looking for the B&W 6100 manual scanned.

I will also scan the tuning window and tags from my R-649 as well.

Looking for the Hurricane tuning dials, meter faces if anyone has scans of them

Thanks. Richy N2ZD

Anyone have a good hires image of an NC-240D dial with the red band spread scales?  For some reason ALL the red lettering on mine has faded or been accidentally wiped off.  Only the black remains.

If I could at least see one good enough to get a close idea of how the scaling is, I can redo mine digitally.  Here is what I have done with what I have.

Wow... great thread.

I used the search button to find a scan/copy of a TCS-12 TX tuning chart.
Unsuccesfully ;)

If one could scan in hi-res, it would make my day.

(btw, still looking for the small metal frame to hold the chart as well......)

Martin.

Could someone please provide a clear photo of the SWR meter face for the Johnson 250-23-3 Matchbox?
I have one that is badly water damaged and would like to replace it.
Very much appreciated!
