That's not very good advertising.   I'll bet they don't stand underneath powerlines next time either.

So this is what you do at work, Daddy?

Good grief. That sure was a long run of power lines taken out. The owner probably saw dollar signs and insurance claims at that moment. The cameraman seemed real close to the falling cables.

Sounds like the charges went off out of sequence.... darn.

I was once on a crew that dropped a rusted 300' Rohn 45.  One person torched the main set of guy wires. The guy didn't snap as expected  and the tower did a strange dance as it fell.   It's amazing how well a tall tower will stand with most of its guys unbolted.

And another video viewpoint...

Looks like it didn't miss the substation by much...that would have been electrifying!

There were sparks as the three phase lines were ripped off the poles.

Glad the camera was on a tripod and not a shity handheld shot and the camera shaking and out of focus and losing the shot as the smoke stack came tumbling down. Those lines just snapped.

Interesting that the little girl had more common sense than the adults to get the hell out of there. The power might have already been burned off by the time the wires fell, luckily for them.

The losses must have run into the millions when it crushed those gas turbine generators.
