Title: Almost a beam failure
Post by: WA1GFZ on October 10, 2010, 09:41:48 PM
Yesterday morning I'm outside waiting for the roofers and the cat is hanging with me. All of a sudden she is freaking out. I look up the tower and a giant turkey buzzard is sitting on the LOG back stay. Man if that thing ever drops to an element the thing will be toast. I start banging on the tower so it goes away. There were 5 of them in the back yard. I've noticed them hanging around the area in the mornings. We don't usually let the cat out until later.
Watching it flex a big branch on a local tree they must weight over 20 pounds.
